Lockdown Costume Design Competition

This week we asked our students to design show costumes. Here are some of our favourite drawings. We love how colourful a lot of the costumes are, with a lot of thought and detail going in to each design. It was incredibly hard to choose a top 3, Eleri's sisters and mum all liked different designs for different reasons and had their own top 3. However the overall top 3 are designs that made it into all of our lists. Below you can find our top 3.

3rd place - We love how bright and colourful this costume is. We also like how the student used buttons, leaves and stars to add some detail and sparkle to the costume. A costume like this would brighten up any stage!

2nd place - We love how this costume was created with inspiration from one of our dances. Practically, it flares out towards the bottom leaving room for the dancer to use their legs freely. It also incorporates rainbow colours on the skirt, in support of all of the key workers.

1st place - Being both Ffion and mummy Roberts favourite design, this costume is our winner this week. We love how the student has used glitter and pom poms giving the costume something a little extra. Being a knight costume it could also be used by both girls and boys and we can imagine the cape would look fantastic on stage during a dance movement such as skipping, galloping or running.
