How We Safeguard Children

We are committed to:

  • Recruiting staff safely and carrying out appropriate suitability checks.

  • Providing safeguarding induction, training and supervision.

  • Maintaining clear professional boundaries.

  • Encouraging children to speak up if they feel worried or uncomfortable.

  • Responding to safeguarding concerns promptly and sensitively.

  • Keeping appropriate safeguarding records securely.

  • Working with parents and relevant agencies to protect children's welfare.

  • Respecting children's dignity, privacy, individual needs and rights.

Reporting a Concern

If you are worried about a child attending Flame, please contact our safeguarding team at info@flamedancestudios.com.

You may also report concerns directly to the relevant local authority children's services or police.

If a child is in immediate danger, call 999.

Where a concern involves a staff member or safeguarding lead, it may be appropriate to contact statutory safeguarding services directly.

We do not require families to raise a concern internally before contacting the authorities.

Photography and Online Safety

We take children's privacy seriously.

Access to learning videos, memories and other resources is managed through our Parent Portal and separate Student Area.

We ask families not to share private photographs or recordings of other children without appropriate permission.

Inclusion and Respect

Every child deserves to feel safe and welcome.

We are committed to equality, reasonable adjustments and responding appropriately to bullying, discrimination and concerns about behaviour.
